Events and Community
Events Lead
Description:
Works closely with the President and executive team to bring the club’s vision to life through a variety of climbing-related events. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and creative skills to ensure that the club’s events are engaging, safe, and enjoyable for all members.
Commitment: 5–7 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute events for club members including weekly meetups, workshops, and the End-of-Term (EoT) competition
- Collaborate with external partners and other student organizations for event collaborations
- Work with the Design Lead to promote events through social media and other channels
- Attend at least 1 of 3 weekly meetups at GRR Waterloo, GRR Kitchener, and/or PAC Wall
Events Executive
Description:
Supports the Events Lead in organizing and running club events. This role involves logistics, planning, and brainstorming new initiatives to ensure successful, inclusive, and fun experiences for members.
Commitment: 3–5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Help plan and organize events with the Events Lead
- Contribute new ideas that align with the club’s goals
- Assist with logistics like scheduling and equipment
- Attend at least 1 of 3 weekly meetups at GRR Waterloo, GRR Kitchener, and/or PAC Wall
Club Ambassadors
Description:
Attend weekly meetups to help build community, support events, and represent the club on campus. Ideal for friendly, outgoing members who love sharing their passion for climbing.
Commitment: 2–3 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Attend at least 1 of 3 weekly meetups at GRR Waterloo, GRR Kitchener, and/or PAC Wall
- Support event planning and execution
- Provide feedback on club initiatives and member engagement
Creative and Digital
Design Executive
Description:
Creates visual content to promote the club’s brand and events. This role is ideal for creative individuals with graphic design skills and an interest in visual storytelling.
Commitment: 3–5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Design posters, social media graphics, and digital content
- Assist the Marketing Lead with visual campaigns and brand consistency
- Collaborate with the Events team to ensure timely promotions
Marketing Executive
Description:
Captures the energy and personality of the club through photography and video. Perfect for creatives who want to help shape the club’s online presence.
Commitment: 3–5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Take photos and videos during club events and meetups
- Create content for marketing, including Instagram reels and event recaps
- Work with the Design Executives to maintain a cohesive visual brand
- Ensure all content aligns with the club’s message and tone
